Leaders

We all have them in one way or another whether it’s a friend, mentor, boss, spouse, teacher, acquaintance, family member, president, spiritual head, etc.. and yes, even an enemy can be, at times.

I guess what sticks out to me most, is that a true Leader is sacrificial.

This cannot be measured because it’s an interaction that is given and then received.

-A leader is someone who can be transparent about their faults because pride cannot dominate their character.

-A leader is someone that does the right thing even if they know it’ll hurt you for a time, but it will ultimately bless you because in that moment you don’t possess the ability to see it, but they do.

– A leader gives of themself in so many various ways and fills your being in different areas.

-A leader knows when it’s OK to be weak and that is what will actually draw you closer.

-A leader knows when they need to be strong to hold you together.

-A leader can make you laugh while you’re in the midst of tears.

-A leader is completely imperfect but is OK with that within themselves.

-A leader seeks the goodwill of everyone, to the best they can.

-A leader does not need to look to their reputation because they are confident their actions will demonstrate that.

-A leader will not be blown to and fro in their decision making.

-A leader will fight for you, no matter what.

-A leader’s gauge is never other people’s opinions, outlooks or understanding and only what they know as Truth.

-A leader takes care of themselves first; in order to be able to care for others.

-A leader will humbly communicate until resolution is achieved.

-A leader has their negative emotions under control.

-A leader knows when exposing their own emotions is beneficial to their recipients.

-A leader knows that self examination and true repentance with an apology matters more than most things, when necessary.

-A leader will accept you exactly how you are, including everything they may “think” you lack.

-A leader will want you to grow.

-A leader would die for you even if it’s just in small ways every day because that’s where they know their strength comes from…

SACRIFICE

…through sacrifice we experience the Joy that we all crave!

Sometimes we have to learn what it is not before we can know what it is.
